The drive from San Francisco International Airport to either San Francisco cruise terminal takes between 30 and 50 minutes, depending on traffic. Bringing luggage on the streetcar is allowed, but this particular line can get crowded. Taking a taxi from the Market St. & Main stop may be more comfortable on busy days. Don't believe what Google Maps tells you -- there is unfortunately no parking directly at the San Francisco cruise terminal.

Within Golden Gate Park is Stow Lake, a manmade lake perfect for renting a rowboat or paddle boat to from one side to the other. Walk along the trails and bring a picnic to enjoy while you’re at the park, or stop inside the Boathouse for a coffee or a quick snack. Locals wear the region’s signature laid-back spirit like a uniform. It’s in the sand, on the streets and in hole-in-the-wall restaurants. Pictures don’t do it justice; it has to be felt and experienced, and the best way to do so is on board a Princess West Coast cruise. Hear celebrities from your favorite entertainment share their experiences on board select sailings in our exclusive Entertainer’s Showcase and Workshop. Meet the stars of stage, screen and music at parties, and hear behind-the-scenes tales of your favorite movie, play or album over exquisite food and drinks. Meet the actors, composers and musicians who shaped some of the most memorable media in history and learn about their careers, methods and lives.

For additional options, check out the area around Columbus Avenue and Washington Square. Restaurants around Fisherman’s Wharf are about a four-minute drive or 10-minute streetcar ride away. You’ll have to take the Yellow Line to Embarcadero, then transfer to the F streetcar at Market St. & Main. The San Francisco cruise terminal is across the street from the streetcar stop. After two blocks, turn left onto Bay Street, which will eventually dead-end at the Embarcadero.

How Much Does a Disney Cruise Cost? 2024 Average Price

disney cruise cost per person

A Disney Cruise is a fantastic way to enjoy adventure, culture, family bonding, and Disney entertainment. You should consider the estimated cost of your voyage before you commit to see if it fits within your family’s budget. The most convenient way is by using a credit card that’ll wipe away your travel costs. Plenty of cards have this feature, but two fairly decent ones are the Bank of America® Premium Rewards® credit card and the Capital One Venture Rewards Credit Card. Both cards will allow you to redeem your points toward purchases at a rate of 1 cent per point.

Including Additional Onboard Expenses

Letting Disney choose your cabin can be a great way to get a deal on the cruise. These are known as guaranteed rates, and they are the cheapest fares in each category. All you have to do is pick your room type, such as inside, ocean view or balcony, and Disney picks which specific room number you get. On the ship, easy-to-transport souvenirs included trading pins, magnets and apparel. Other more expensive onboard souvenirs include jewelry, luxury brand purses and wallets, and art.

Is it worth spending money on Disney?

The Disney Cruise cost per person varies greatly depending on several factors such as the destination, the type of cabin you choose, and the time of year you plan to travel. On average, you can expect to pay anywhere from $700 to $3,000 per person for a standard 7-night Disney Cruise. However, this price can go up or down depending on the factors mentioned above.

Be sure to have a souvenirs budget

From pools and waterslides to spas, sports facilities, and live entertainment, there’s something for everyone. Whether you’re seeking relaxation or adventure, you’ll find ample opportunities to make the most of your time at sea. Overpacking can incur additional costs, such as baggage fees, if you exceed airline limits. Being mindful of packing essentials and avoiding unnecessary items will save you money and make your travel experience more convenient.

There will also be significant price differences in fares during off-peak season. If your kids don’t mind missing a few days of school, you can save more money by vacationing during the school year instead of over the summer or winter holidays. However, if you want a relaxing massage, there are discounts on spa services while on a Disney cruise. An example is booking a three-night two-person cruise sailing from Miami to the Bahamas with Disney Magic. If you go on a regular weekend in September, for example, Friday, September 8 to Monday, September 11, you can book an inside cabin for four days for $1,530. If you want to save money on the cost of a Disney cruise, we outline some steps you can follow that are budget-friendly while allowing you to have a great time.

Extra Costs on Ship & Ports

You also have to factor in other cruise add-ons, including drinks and shore excursions. If your budget is a primary concern, choosing an inside cabin can be a cost-effective option. While it may lack windows or a verandah, it still provides all the necessary amenities and access to the ship’s activities and facilities. By sacrificing the view, you can allocate your budget to other expenses or extend the duration of your cruise. The number of people in your travel party plays a crucial role in determining the overall cost. Disney Cruise Line caters to families of all sizes, from solo travelers to multigenerational groups.

Book with a Travel Agent! My #1 Tip!

On average, the total cruise fare price on a Disney Cruise Line sailing is $6,826 for a family of four in a balcony cabin. The time of year you book your Disney cruise will affect how much it costs. If you're hoping to stretch your budget as far as possible, avoid peak times like holidays and major school breaks. As you can see, there's a considerable difference in pricing between inside rooms and concierge suites. When you are choosing the perfect cruise cabin, you will need to weigh whether or not a balcony is worth it.

Getting to the port of embarkation is an expense that often needs to be factored into your budget. Whether you choose to drive, fly, or take a train, transportation costs to and from the port can vary depending on your location and mode of transportation. While optional, it’s highly recommended to consider travel insurance for your Disney Cruise. Travel insurance can provide coverage for unforeseen circumstances such as trip cancellation, medical emergencies, or lost luggage.

disney cruise cost per person

As a general rule, the earlier you book, the cheaper the prices will be. Disney Cruise Line typically releases their itineraries and prices about 18 months in advance, so keep an eye out for the release date and book as soon as possible. Guests can purchase a package with a certain amount of data or pay per minute. A Disney Cruise promises an experience filled with enchantment and wonder. While the cost might seem daunting at first glance, thorough research, strategic planning, and occasionally seizing those enticing deals can make this dream voyage an attainable reality.

After sailing on 15 Disney Cruises, I think the most common question we statement we hear is, “I’ve always wanted to go on one, but how much does a Disney Cruise cost? Disney Cruise Lines has some of the most premier ships at sea and with that does come with a premium price. With so many options out there for your next vacation and Disney Cruise Line’s rack rate prices, it can be easy to wonder if this cruise line is worth it. If you find yourself looking for a standard cruise experience or aren’t a huge fan of the Disney brand, you may find yourself looking elsewhere. Before Disney Cruise Line hit the cruising industry, cruising was generally geared toward adults, and couples. Disney made cruising a family experience, with services and amenities specifically catered toward the smallest members at sea.

It is simply impossible to determine exactly how much a person will pay without looking at several different factors. We are going to break these factors on Disney Cruise cost down for you. Booking a cruise while currently on a cruise, there are two benefits alone that can save guests hundreds of dollars on your next cruise.

On the upper decks, quick-service food stations, soft-serve ice cream and a buffet are available. Kids can meet and play with their favorite Disney characters and participate in activities like karaoke. Family-friendly sun decks with pools, waterslides, splash zones and wading pools are also included in the cost.
